Every year we welcome the Passover Christ, and the Christian heart is filled with the joy that has filled it from this most miraculous event in human history! The incarnated by the Spirit, the Son of God, accepted the death on the cross in human form and suffering and rose on the third day to show to us, men, that death is victorious, that death is gone, both of the body and of the soul! And the spiritual death we sometimes talk about is no more than a darkening of the spark of God in some of us from hardened egotism and passion, but it, the spark, is always there, and most unexpectedly shines upon the most sinful sinner and clears him for his astonishment and God's glory and instantaneous transformation occurs. Thousands of examples of that are in the history of the Church, starting from Savel (St. Paul), to our days.
            The first testimony of our Godlikeness, not by the prophet, but directly in the "matter" of the transitional world, was given to us by the crucifixion, banal in the Roman Empire, and the incredible resurrection for all times and empires!
 
The least we can do on this day is to give Him glory with worship.
 
In the Bachkovo Monastery, the Passover Service was led by Messembrian's Bishop Jacob in a ministry with the Abbot of the Monastery, Archimandrite Samuel, the brothers of the monastery, and the prayerful presence of the Orthodox Christians who take up the monastery yard.
